It is characterized by wide sandy beaches with turquoise waters, a dry desert landscape inland, and is known for its strong winds, making it a haven for water sports like surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding. The main resorts include Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma, and Morro Jable.
